I’ve loved every minute of my 35 years in the kitchen and relish my time teaching cooking and talking about health. All of these classes can be adapted to any type of dietary choices. Each class is dynamic and entertaining and we’ll delve into health topics while we prepare delectable dishes. My focus is nutrient dense, seasonal, and deliciously healthy food. Come hungry!

If I had to pick one “way” of eating it would be Mediterranean. I think a genuine appreciation of the Mediterranean palette of foods is a “must” these days; Rich and mouthwatering, yet essentially an amazingly healthy diet, let’s savor the flavors and take away an array of delicious choices for home cooking.

Learning to roll sushi is always a crowd favorite and a guaranteed good time. This is an interactive class where everyone is learning and rolling and eating! We will learn the basics and even get a little fancy with inside out rolls and other savory delights. You will leave with many rolls to enjoy and share with your family or friends. Can you say Saki?

Coming from a Syrian home, I adore cooking classic Middle Eastern food, which has enjoyed renewed popularity as of late. We will cook my Mom Emily’s best dishes using her own recipes. ALL of my classes can be adapted to be vegetarian or meat inclusive.

Soup making is such a skill! I have tasted a lot of bad soups over the years. You will gain simple tools to make rich, creamy, and nourishing soups. A good soup maker is a cherished soul. Up your skills and get some fresh ideas. I will have one ready to taste when you arrive; we will cook some more and you will take recipes home to enjoy!

Many years ago I fell in love with the book Staying Healthy with the Seasons, by Elson Haas. It is a must have. I love teaching seasonal classes, tying in the types of food, times of year, parts of the body, and emotions that are more dominant. We’ll engage in a simple study of the power of Chinese medicine while we create delicious seasonal food.
